Teen Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Orangeville (13+)

Teens 13 and up train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with us in a Teens Only gi class on Friday evenings, and they can join any Adults & Teens class. Many start with no experience. They learn self-defence and build fitness and confidence, with training partners their own age.

Class times

Teens Only Gi: Friday, 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Adults & Teens Gi: Mon and Wed 7:00 pm, Tue and Thu 10:00 am, Fri 6:00 am, Sat noon. Adults & Teens No-Gi: Tue and Thu 7:00 pm. Open mat (gi or no-gi): Sun noon. Judo (13+): Fri 7:00 pm.

Price

Teens pay adult rates: $150 a month on a 12-month plan, $1,600 for the year paid up front or $850 for 6 months, plus HST. BJJ and Judo together is $200 a month. Additional family members get 15% off.

Safe, qualified coaches

Every coach has a police vulnerable sector check, is trained to coach, and teaches using the NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) framework, so parents know their teen is in good hands.

Teen coaches

Our teens classes are led by head coaches Andrew Rangoo (BJJ purple belt and Judo brown belt) and Jadon Smith (BJJ orange belt and Judo green belt).

Getting started

The first class is free. Wear athletic clothes (no shorts) and arrive 15 minutes early; use the front entrance at 75 First Street and head down to the basement. After the first class, teens need a gi (unless they train no-gi only), sold at the academy. Memberships are set up in person.
