ORANGEVILLE BJJ

Orangeville BJJ member, Maurice Gear, and local Orangeville resident, is returning home this fall from the IBJJF World Masters with a second place medal. 

This tournament happens once a year and is the most prestigious tournament in world for Jiu Jitsu.  Maurice competed in the brownbelt division in a 60-man bracket, where he had six gruelling matches, winning 5, and losing to a very close ref's decision in the finals. 

"The experience of competing and placing 2nd in an international event is cool, but what I'm really proud of is that all my training and preparation was done at Orangeville Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy.  Having such experienced instructors and training partners in Orangeville is such a privilege."

Orangeville BJJ and Judo will be running a free program beginning March 1st specifically for people who have never trained BJJ or Judo and want to get started. The program is two weeks and it is completely free. Contact us to book your spot.

We are excited to announce Orangeville BJJ's first BJJ promotions ceremony. Please everyone try your best to make this occasion. Wear a white gi. We will be going to The Hatter afterwards for a team lunch to wrap up the year. Please contact us for any questions. 

Congrats to the team members from Orangeville BJJ and Brampton BJJ who went to Miami this weekend to compete in the prestigious Miami IBJJF open. Four competitors brought home 7 hard earned medals. Congratulations guys!

Orangeville BJJ is happy to announce that we now offer freestyle wrestling. This program is beginner friendly and run by Coach Robert Deonarine. Contact us to book your free trial.

On Saturday September 24th, we will be hosting an introduction to Judo class. This class is free and designed specifically for those with no Judo or grappling experience. Please contact us to reserve your spot.
